River Terrace Church

Welcome To River Terrace Church

We believe that nothing is more important, more interesting, or more rewarding than a deep and abiding relationship with God. We are people from diverse backgrounds humbly seeking to be followers of Jesus, our Lord. We are open to all who come seeking God. We are people who put our faith into action believing that faith is not just something you think but something you live. We are not perfect--not even close. We don't agree on everything. We live in the grace and forgiveness of God. We believe that God overcomes our differences and calls us to live in his ways, to seek peace and justice, to live the abundant life of joy and love. Join us as we meet God in prayer, worship, joy, and celebration each week.

Sunday, March 14, 2010 Worship Services

"Simply the Gospel" is the name of the series of messages that Pastor Libolt is preaching during Lent, the weeks leading to Easter.  Using various New Testament scriptures, he will help us to answer the question: what is Christian faith all about?  If someone asked you why you believe, where would you start. Surely there are many places to start, but this approach begins with Jesus.   Knowing Jesus shows us who God is and how much he cares for us.

9:00 AM - Choir & Organ 11:15 AM - Worship Band

Child Care (0-4) during both services. Children's Worship (age 5-6) during 11:15 am worship. Sunday School meets 10:15 to 11:00 am.

6:00 PM - Vespers Service

The Cross is a loaded image. It means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. What did it mean to those who were there? How did people who saw and heard Jesus that day respond?

This Sunday, Pastor Delianne will be leading us in a reflection on the cross and the man who died there.

Community Life Groups

Are you looking for ways to connect with others at River Terrace?

Small group Bible studies (Community Life Groups) are a great way to make new connections and renew previous relationships, to grow spiritually, and to recommit ourselves to the Lord. Everyone should feel that they belong to the family of God and be equipped to live as followers of Jesus.

How can I sign up? Register online by clicking here on Small Group Registration which will take you to the registration form.  We will help in connecting you to a group.

What will the groups do? We encourage groups to share food and conversation and spend time in scripture study and prayer. The small groups will decide their own schedule (days and frequency) for meeting together. They should decide what they want to study and discuss. They may choose to follow the sermon series and use the discusstion questions that are provided, or they may choose another Bible study or book for discussion.  During Lent, we encourage groups to use the Bible Study Guides related to the Lenten sermon series.

Who will facilitate the group? We expect that in each group, there will be volunteers who will help facilitate or host your group. The Small Groups Ministry Team will assist with providing facillitators and hosts.

What if I have other questions? If you have additional questions, please contact Pastor Delianne at 351-9059 or delianne@riverterrace.org
