What is Faith-In-Action

Faith in Action is both a state of mind and a group of like-minded folks at River Terrace Church.

We say "Faith in Action" because we believe our Christian faith has consequences in the rest of our life. Our religious beliefs are not for Sunday only. We believe that when someone spends time with Jesus on Sunday or any other time, they'll start caring about the people and things that Jesus cares about. Since Jesus seemed to spend a great deal of time with the poor and vulnerable, we feel our faith will move us into relationships and action among the poor and vulnerable. Everyone at River Terrace aspires to put their faith in action in all sorts of ways. But there is a particular group here which tries to coordinate actions of justice and mercy among the poor and vulnerable in the Greater Lansing area.

Faith-in-Action is a committee, a group of people committed to spurring members of River Terrace Church to, you guessed it, put their faith in action.
