SERVING EXPANDS LIFE

From our first beginnings in the faith to our last steps, we are on a journey. We can try to walk alone or we can choose to engage with others who cross our path. If we are watchful, we will see some who need a drink of water or some directions. If we are walking with Jesus, we will see him in those we encounter. God gave us his Spirit so that we might serve and witness to the world. Jesus said to his disciples, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Galilee, and to the ends of the earth."

SERVE ministries at River Terrace Church provide creative ways to serve God and others. Some serve within the church family: teaching, leading, caring for others. Many River Terrace SERVE ministries reach deeply into our local community and some to the far reaches of the world. These programs offer a helping hand through a rough spot and opportunities for real, life-long change.
