River Terrace Church
Our 10:00 AM service features an organ, piano, classic Christian hymns, songs from the broad tradition of the church, contemporary settings, and practical and challenging messages based on the Bible.
The Greenhouse walk-out program for kids (ages 4-11) meets each Sunday, about midway through each service.
Nursery care is provided for our youngest ones.

If you’re new, we won’t single you out by making you stand up and sing for your supper. However, we ask that you sign your name in our Friendship Register (black booklet) around the time of the offerings. It’s a way for us to find out who is new, and facilitates conversation after the service.
Grab a cup of coffee after the services and consider attending one of our spiritual growth classes, offered from 10:10-11:00 AM, from September to May. See Adult Ministries for class listings.
We desire to be a welcoming and accessible place of worship. Barrier free seating is available in three locations in the sanctuary. Hearing assistance devices can be checked out at the sound booth. Large print Bibles and bulletins are available in the book rack just inside the sanctuary entrance. Ushers are pleased to assist you.
On Wednesdays join us for Community Night! Skip cooking for a night and enjoy a meal with us. Following dinner (5:30-6:15 pm), there’s a variety of great activities and classes for kids, youth, and adults, from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. Community Night happens from September through April.
What about my kids?
Kids ages 4-11 can attend the Greenhouse walk-out program, which meets each Sunday about midway through the service.
If you have a little one, ages 0-4, they are welcome in the Promiseland Nursery located on the lower level. Sign your child in and give any instructions to one of our skilled and loving workers.
We also welcome babies in our services. If your little one becomes fussy or hungry, there’s a room on the southeast side of the Sanctuary equipped with comfortable chairs, a changing table, and a speaker so that parents can still hear the service while tending to their little ones.
Kids are welcome to join their parents in the Sanctuary. About mid-way through the service, children, age 5 to grade 4, are invited up for our Children’s Blessing and are dismissed to go to the Greenhouse. There, they emulate what adults do in the worship service, through song, liturgy, and message, and additional kid-friendly activities. It’s a great way for them to learn about worship. After the service, parents pick their children up on the lower level. If your child stays in the service, they’re welcome to grab a Praise Pack—a small bag filled with activities—from the back of the Sanctuary.
We offer Sunday School classes for preschoolers through 12th graders at 10:10-11 am on the lower level, from September to May.
