Severe Weather Policy
Adopted by Executive Committee September, 2002

Tornadoes: All church activities are canceled if a tornado watch or warning has been issued for the scheduled time of the event. Church activities will be held if the watch or warning is lifted at least one hour prior to the starting time.

Snow Days: All daytime activities before 5:00 p.m. involving children are canceled when Lansing Public Schools are closed for the day.

Other Severe Weather: Decisions about whether to cancel for heavy snow, thunderstorms, slippery roads, etc. will consider the overall program of the church and the risk for the people involved in the activities.
