Resettlement
River Terrace Church has long had concern for refugees, some of the most vulnerable people around the world. Through Faith-in-Action, River Terrace works with Refugee Services to help resettle refugees. To date, River Terrace has resettled over thirty families of refugees from all around the world, including Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and Rwanda. Refugee resettlement involves working directly with refugees to acclimate them to US culture, while connecting them to services available to help them thrive in Michigan, away from their home.
Prisoner Re-Entry
A group has begun to coordinate River Terrace's efforts to bridge the gap between life in prison and life outside of prison for persons released after serving time.
