THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS
Again this year we have the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving by sharing our abundance with families in our community who are struggling with poverty. Our Faith-In-Action Committee has agreed to provide 50 Thanksgiving Food Baskets this year. Christian Services coordinates this effort and gives us the names of local families.
Here is the process:
- Sign up by clicking here or pick up and fill out a form in the church office.
- On Sunday, November 4, pick up your family’s name and contact information from the table in the Gathering Hall. We’ll include a list of suggested groceries to buy. If you do not pick up the name on November 4, we will make sure you receive the information.
- Please contact the family as soon as possible to set a menu, delivery date, and time.
- Purchase and deliver groceries to the family by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20.
Can you help fill one of the thousands of requests for food baskets expected in the Lansing area? Your experience may be exhilarating or it may be sobering – but it is certain to be worthwhile.
